I joined the military at 22 because I wanted more out of life. I had a "knowing" I couldn't fully explain. It was a gut feeling compounded with signs that I couldn't ignore. It ended up being the best decision I ever made.

I served seven years in the 75th Ranger Regiment as a Special Operations Intelligence Analyst. The highlight of my military career was working in embassies and alongside three-letter agencies.

The expectation to perform at the highest level never left, and figuring things out when you didn't know was the standard. Those environments molded me into the professional I am today.

The only other time I've had that "knowing" was a decade later while working as a Program Manager for HawkEye360. I couldn't keep dismissing the need to build something of my own. After multiple signs I couldn't ignore, I put my two weeks in. I haven't looked back.

I went all-in building The Art of Time. I had no audience, no refined business acumen, and limited skills. I did have a small network and community in the industry, but there was no guarantee it would work.

Those first two years of being self-employed taught me more than any education could have. It forced me to become the best version of myself, learn constantly, sharpen my skills, observe patterns, and develop systems I now use every day.

It also prepared me for my next venture and connected me to a client named Mohammed Almarwani, my now co-founder and the CEO of AllChrono.

Along this journey, I've learned the hard lesson that hustling without a system is just being your own employee and running yourself into the ground.

If things fail in your absence, you aren't running a business.

I've made bad hires, bad purchases, and every other mistake that comes from building without a roadmap. I learned through doing it wrong and doubled down when I saw how to do it right.

I am a big believer that you are a product of your environment, which means you can change your outcome by changing your inputs.

Be deliberate about what you absorb.

Build an environment around yourself that pushes you forward and cuts out the noise. The digital age means you no longer have to be a product of your zip code or circumstances.
